Infection of Farm Animals by Different Types of Lice (Anoplura and Mallophaga) in Saudi Arabia

The study present the sucking lice (Anoplura) that affects local farm animals (goats) in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Al-Ahsa). The study recorded the classification of the lice, and its description using optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. The study clarified the exact composition of the species ( Linognathus africanus , Kellogg and Paine,.1911), the shape of the head sack, and the distribution of body bristles. It also showed the shape of the sensory antennae, shape of the leg claws and the structure of the reproductive system ( genitalia). Infection of Farm Animals by Different Types of Lice (Anoplura and Mallophaga) in Saudi Arabia

Farm animals are highly important in the economic world. Their products are of high nutritional value; therefore, animals affected by disease pathogens result in heavy losses, most importantly Mallophaga and Anoplura . The study included the most important types of lice ( Mallophaga, Anoplura ) that infect camels, goats and sheep of different age and genus., in the local Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The study recorded the average monthly and seasonal lice numbers on sheep and goats. The study showed that the highest percentage of sheep infection during July was 3.99 % for young sheep and 4.01 % for old sheep, both of the male sex, while the female sheep's rate was 3.08 % (young) and 4.03 % (old). The study also showed that the highest percentage of young male goat infection during August was17.93 % and 9.93 % for the old ones, while young infected female goat rate was 14.81 % and 10.08 % for the older ones. Sexual Maturation and Fertility in Blue Swimming Crab Portunus pelagicus in The Arabian Gulf, (Saudi Arabia)

Portunus pelagicus , the blue swimmer crab, occupy an important ecological and nutrimental in the world and one of the ten most important group of major economic mariculture and export species in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea . The study, which is the first in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, was conducted in the Coast of El-Khobar city overlooking the Arabian Gulf at the eastern region of Saudi Arabia for a year. It aimed to sexual maturity stages, fecundity and sex ratio, The blue crab in the Arabian Gulf is found to be a predator and scavenger at the same time. Sexual maturity for the males and females hold importance in the continuity of mating. The males reach sexual maturity (in terms of volume) less than females indicating that males mature prior to females. Ovigerous female fecundity is directly proportional to the size. The Phylogenetic Relationship among Two Species in Different Forms of Nematode in Three Hosts

The random amplified DNA polymers chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) was done for two species of nematode. Which infected both domestic chicken( Gallus gallus ) and pigeon ( Columba livia domestic) Ascaris galli and Ascaridia columbae, respectively. Two were used in PCR reactions. The first primer gave eight bands total patterns for 2-3 bands for each species and the scond primer gave seven patterns for 1-2 bands for each species.each species gave a specific pattern. Identification Studies on Chrysomya Bezziana (Diptera: Oestridae) Larvae Infested Sheep in Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia

Ultrastructure study revealed (Villeneuve, 1914) Chrysomya bezziana that causes myasis in sheep in Saudi Arabia, the studies recorded the exact composition of genus showed differences in morphological characteristics, which cannot be identified using a microscope optical as well in all previous studies the same region as never before studied. Isolation of Protozoa Infecting Blood of Animals In Eastern Area of Saudi Arabia by using PCR-RALF

External parasites infection is one of the most important factors that cause disease outbreak in farm animls. The present study included examinationof blood samples for primary blood parasites transmitted to farm animals by ticks. The study recorded three species : Babesia. Motasi, Babesia. ovis, Trypanosoma. congolense, Theileria. lestoquardi, Theileria. annulata, Trypanosoma. vivax. It showed accuracy and sensitivity of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test to detect and identify of blood parasites types. Also the study showed the need to use PCR technology to develop a genetic fingerprinting all of species that infect local animals and types of blood parasites in Saudi Arabia which are difficult to identify in terms of their types accurately by conventional methods. Morphological Structure of Tegument in Fasciolahepatica Affecting Sheep in Saudi Arabia

Fasciola was one of the first infectious agents to be discovered and implicated an etiologic agent of disease. Fascioliasis is one of the most important parasitic diseases of domestic ruminants causing severe economic losses throughout the world. Additionally, it is increasingly being recognized as an important emerging/re-emerging infection of humans. In this study we used scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques to identify and characterize the species of Fasciola present in Saudi Arabia (KSA). This is the first morphological and untrastructural study on Fasciola in the country. Prior to this study, the species of Fasciola in KSA had not been properly identified by any technique. Schistosomiasis the most important human helminthes infection is a major source of morbidity for people in 76 countries. Schistosoma mansoni and Schistosoma haematobium are endemic in Saudi Arabia. TAXONOMIC STUDY OF TWO GENUS IN LICinognathus Africanus (Kellogg And Paine, 1911) & amp;Bovicola (Damalinia) ovis (Schrank, 1781) BY SCANNINGELECTRONIC MICROSCOPE (SEM)

This study presents the Mallophaga and Anoplura lice which affects farm animals (camels sheep and goats), a local area east of the Saudi Arabia of different ages, races, classes. Study the classification of lice were recorded as using the optical microscope and electronic scanning. The study shows scanning electron microscopy micro-structure of the species: Bovicola (Damalinia) ovis, Linognathus africanus and the study showed the installation of a portfolio of head lice, and the distribution of filament head, chest and abdomen, as shown over the centuries, the difference in the form of remote sensing and Swallows in the sexual lice, the first study in this area.
